1.1 Mission Statement

"Health and safety is not just a policy, but the foundation of our league governance. Every player has a duty of care to themselves and their opponents."

Compliance with DPL Safety Standards is Mandatory

League Requirements

2.1 Health Status

Players must ensure physical fitness. Play must stop immediately upon injury or illness.

2.2 Emergency

Venues must provide first aid kits and clear AED (Defibrillator) access procedures.

2.3 Reporting

All incidents must be reported to the Committee within 48 hours via official forms.

Player Safety

FootwearNon-marking padel-specific shoes only.
AttireStandard padel clothing allowing full mobility.
PreparationMandatory 10-minute warm-up routines.
HydrationAdequate fluid intake throughout the tie.

Venue Safety

4.1 Court Conditions

Surface must be free of sand-clumping or flooring defects. Netting and glass must meet Padel Ireland safety specifications.

4.2 Visibility

Adequate LED lighting is mandatory for all evening ties. Play must be suspended if lighting is compromised.

Our Responsibility

Team Captains

Responsible for on-site player adherence, ensuring emergency knowledge, and filing official injury reports within the portal.

Clubs & League

The Committee monitors facility standards and maintains the DPL safety policy, providing guidance on AED locations and first-aid compliance.

Emergency Reporting

All injuries, venue defects, or safety breaches must be reported to the DPL Committee immediately.
