About the League
The Dublin Padel League (DPL) is a competitive padel league for clubs in the Dublin area

The Dublin Padel League provides a structured competitive environment for padel clubs and players in the greater Dublin area. The league is organized into separate men's and ladies' divisions, with multiple classes based on skill level.

Each season runs from September through the following year, with teams competing in round-robin group stages followed by knockout playoffs to determine the champions.

How to Join
Follow these steps to register your club and teams

Apply to Join

Submit an application for your club to join the league. Your application will be reviewed by league administrators.

Wait for Approval

Once your application is submitted, league administrators will review it. You'll be notified when your club is approved.

Coordinate Teams & Players

After approval, work with the league administrators to add your teams and players to the system. Share your rosters and class assignments, and they'll take care of the setup.

League Structure
How the league is organized and how matches are played

Divisions

  • Separate men's and ladies' leagues
  • Multiple classes based on skill level
  • Groups within each class for round-robin play

Match Format

  • Each tie consists of two matches: #1 pairing vs #1 pairing, and #2 pairing vs #2 pairing
  • Matches are played over two tiebreak sets
  • 10-point champions' tiebreak if sets are split
  • Short deuce scoring

Competition Format

  • Round-robin group stage where teams play each other once or twice
  • Top teams from each group advance to knockout playoffs
  • Final match determines the class champion
Eligibility Requirements

Clubs

Any member-owned padel club or commercial padel facility located within 50 km of the GPO, Dublin is eligible to join the league.

Players

Players must be at least 18 years of age as of 1st January of the competition year. Players must have played at least once in league matches to be eligible for play-offs or finals.

Important Information

Entry Fees: There are no entry fees for the league, and therefore no prizes.

Match Scheduling: Matches must be played on the specified date and time. Postponements require agreement from both team captains.

Home Team Responsibilities: The home team provides courts and new balls for each match.

Score Reporting: Match results must be logged on this website by 5pm on the day following the match.
